Pinot Franc, Merlot

A unique blend that can currently only be found in the collection of the “Milestii Mici” winery was created by the renowned winemaker Ion Ungurianu from grapes of the Pinot Franc and Merlot varieties, harvested from plantations near the village of Purcari in the Sîngerei district. The grapes, with a sugar content of at least 18%, were hand-harvested. The must was then prepared by fermenting the juice on the skins with a floating cap.

The wine was aged in oak barrels and subsequently stored under ideal conditions in the underground galleries of “Milestii Mici,” which nature itself prepared for our winemakers.

The wine has a purplish-red color. Its aroma is complex, featuring notes of forest berries and wild cherries, complemented by tones of chocolate and tobacco. The taste is rounded, harmonious, and balanced. This medium-bodied wine has silky smooth tannins, revealing flavors of ripe forest berries and Eastern spices.

It is recommended to decant the wine for 30 minutes before serving. Serve at room temperature, between +16 and +18 degrees Celsius.
It pairs excellently with game, quail, stewed rabbit, and chicken liver pâté.
